The closest championship course is the South Padre Island Golf Club, located 15 minutes away in Laguna Vista. Other courses are located in Brownsville (30 minutes) and Harlingen (45 minutes). South Padre Island Golf Club – Texas Golf ** located 15 minutes from South Padre in Laguna Vista #1 Golf House Road, Laguna Vista, Texas 78578 (956) 943-5678 An 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course measuring 6,966 yards from the championship tees. The Golf Club features a driving range, 385 yards long and 200 yards wide, with large teeing areas at both ends of the range. The Club also features a practice putting and chipping green. The par-three third and par-five fourth are situated directly on the bay. Green fees range from $27-45. Cart fee: $9/person/18 holes.

Brownsville Golf Course

Tony Butler Municipal Golf Course – Texas Golf Half a mile south of „M‰ St. (956)430-6685. A 27-hole golf course. Measuring 6,320 yards, the first 18 holes are par-71 and have a U.S.G.A. rating of 69.1. Pro shop. Practice range. Green fees: $8/nine holes; $10/18 holes. Cart fees: $5/nine holes; $9/18 holes.

Treasure Hills Country Club Texas Golf 3017 Treasure Hills Blvd. (956)428-0351. Opened in 1991, this Robert Trent Jones-designed golf course features terrain very different from that found in the rest of the Valley. It‚s an 18-hole, par-72 course measuring 6,960 yards from the championship tees. Green fees: Tue.-Fri. $25 (includes half cart); Sat. & Sun. $30 (includes half cart). Closed Mondays.
